Week 1 & 2
These lively, active and dynamic yoga classes focus on strength and flexibility, both equally important for a dancer. During a yoga class we aim at controlling the core muscles at all times; almost unnoticeably yet very intensely. This core strength provides the (inner) balance you need when dancing. Furthermore each motion connects to an inhalation and an exhalation, allowing you to actively control your respiration.
At a very young age, Kristel Decat- co-founder and manager of Top Vorm and founder of Bornem Yoga - was already gripped by the dance fever. At the age of 16 she started teaching dance classes; at first mainly to children. Since 2000 yoga has started to play an increasingly important role in the personal and professional life of Kristel. Over the years she has participated in several boot camps and workshops with the leading senior teachers for Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, and she has also dedicated herself to Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga and Anusara Yoga.
