Morgan Lugo is a dance artist, creative, and movement director based in Paris and Antwerp. Born in North Carolina (USA), he first discovered movement through clogging - a rhythmic folk dance from the American South - earning Junior Olympic medals before turning to formal training at North Carolina School of the Arts, SUNY Purchase (New York), and Taipei National University of the Arts (Taiwan).

He has since danced with companies across the U.S. and Europe, most recently as a soloist with Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. As a founding member of L.A. Dance Project, he played a key role in shaping Los Angeles' contemporary dance identity, developing site-specific performances, short films, and collaborations across fashion and visual art - including a dance film with Oscar-winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu.

Morgan has worked with artists such as Pina Bausch, Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Damien Jalet, Crystal Pite, Akram Khan, Sharon Eyal, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and Benjamin Millepied. He has contributed to projects like Boris Charmatz’s 20 Dancers for the XXth Century at MoMA New York, and assisted Cherkaoui on Exposure for the Paris Opera Ballet. His photography has been shown at Leica Gallery Los Angeles and Parc des Ateliers in Arles, France.
