Stephanie Kim has been a professional dancer, based in Los Angeles, since 2008. Ms. Kim is a freelance artist as well as a company member of Barak Ballet. Celebrating her classically trained ballet roots, while merging into the commercial dance world, is what brings her the most joy and fulfilled artistry. Stephanie has had the opportunity to perform at The Grammys, The Academy Awards, The Met Gala, with LA Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Opera di Roma, at Lincoln Center, The Joyce and Jacob’s Pillow. She has worked with choreographers Kitty McNamee, Daniel Ezralow, Rob Ashford and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Ms. Kim has worked with musical artists such as Katy Perry, The Weekend, AFI, John Legend and Rhye and can be seen in the Olivia Wilde film, Don’t Worry Darling. Everything Stephanie does and will continue to do is fueled by passion and integrity, for art is her purest form of expression. Each of her performances is dedicated to her late mentor, Stefan Wenta.
